My wife died due to CA Ovary. I have read in the Sahih of Bukhari that if a patient dies due to abdomen problem he is "Shaheed". Can you please put some light on this?
My question is about the status of Hazrat Ayesha in our eyes. God has revealed a complete surah in her respect. The Qur’an also requires of them to stay in their homes. Apparently her offensive against Hazrat Ali is a violation of the express Qur’anic command. If it was not wrong than why did she resign and withdraw herself from public politics? I also want to know she got killed?
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Qatada that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) stood up among them (his Companions) to deliver his sermon in which he told them that Jihad in the way of Allah and belief in Allah (with all His Attributes) are the most meritorious of acts. A man stood up and said: Messenger of Allah, do you think that if I am killed in the…
What is the Biblical view on Jihad. Did the Prophet Moses (sws) and the Prophet Jesus (sws) wage Jihad in their times?
God Almighty says in the Holy Qur’an: Every soul shall taste death. (Q 3:185) But He says at another place in Qur’an in: Do not say about those who are slain in the cause of Allah, that they are dead. Nay, they are alive, but you do not perceive it. (Q 2:154) Don’t both the verses contradict each other?
What does the term shahid in Islamic literature truly represent? Are all those die in the holy wars and the innocent people killed in some accidents or are murdered Shahid? I am really confused. Please enlighten me on this issue and also explain what happens to a shahid after his or her death.
In a video-clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-N4Wf_RR-0), Mawlānā Waḥīd al-Dīn Khān has claimed that, since killing of non-combatants is not permissible in Islam, the scope of jihad has almost ended in the nuclear area as war can escalate into a situation where killing innocents may become inevitable. Also, he believes that only defensive (in self-defence) is permissible and, that too, only at the level of the state. In an essay of his “Ṣabr kē us pār,” he…

While one understands that these are references to political Shahadat but those using this term ever so often attribute rewards for those who lay down their lives in the way of Allah rather for attainment of power. What would you say about these so called Shaheeds? Moreover, it is generally believed that a soldier dying in uniform e.g. Gen Zia and others…
If a Muslim state attacks another Muslim state then defending the country obviously is Jihad for the Muslims of invaded country. In such a situation, what should be the stance of the Muslim soldiers of the invading army? What are they supposed to do if they find before them their Muslim brethren?
I have read in one of your articles that two sons of Hazrat Ali's (rta) were called Usman and Abu Bakr. They were killed in Karbala. Kindly clear this issue giving the reference of some Shi‘i books.
Are martyrs dead or alive?
What are the circumstances that make Jihad obligatory on a Muslim citizen? What is the punishment for not taking part in Jihad when it has become obligatory?
