What is the concept of 72 hoors (women in heaven/jannah) in Islam? What is your understanding about having sexual relations with those 72 women?
We know that the Prophet (pbuh) married the ex-wife of his adopted son. What I fail to understand is whether it would look ethical to marry my adopted son's wife? There must be hundreds of ladies at that time then why did the Prophet [pbuh] choose her?
The verse in Sura al-Nisa mentioning the four marriages, mentions the orphans initially. These verses were revealed after the battle of Uhud concerning the widows and orphans of the martyrs. Does this in itself not precondition the permission of polygamy to the widows and orphans?
My understanding of Islam is that polygamy is permitted only under certain conditions, such as marrying a widow who has children. Please explain. I read this in the Quran.
A husband asks his wife to permit him to marry another woman. She refuses to permit him would. He has the financial resources to take care of both her wifes. What does Islam say about the woman?
