Debate With Jehovah Witnesses

I am a Muslim convert and I am rather unusual in my conversion. One would never look at me and realize or even think that I was a Muslim. More than likely they would figure me as a WASP or Catholic, if you were to just look at the person and form an idea of them. I have been invited by the Jehovah Witnesses to come and learn about Jesus (pbuh) on what they believe to be the anniversary of his death, March 26, after sunset. I do not believe they know I am Muslim. They wish to explain: "Who is the man?" (well at least they got that right and did not call him God) "How does his death help us?" (they do not know Jesus did not die and it was His likeness that perished instead). "Why is it important that we remember Him?" They also allude to what the apostle Paul wrote concerning His death: "One man died for all." Now..... I would like to bring up to them Matthew 5: 17-20 and then ask them why they believe what Paul tells them. The Law is no longer needed and belief in Jesus' death is all that is needed for salvation. I want to ask them," Who are you going to listen to, Jesus, who told you to uphold the Law and not relax one of them, or Paul (who actually never even met Jesus but had a brief vision of him on the road to Damascus). They need to hear this and understand that upon the Day of Judgment, they will be asked by Allah, were they not told the truth by one who knew the truth? What else do you think I should address? I do believe that Allah is presenting me this unique opportunity and I do wish to make the most of it but in humble fashion of course. Your input is urgently needed for since day one of my conversion to Islam, I have viewed you as my teachers and have greatly benefited from your teachings of the Quran and the Hadith.

Was Jesus Son Of God

I have a friend who was a Christian but now by the grace of God she is ready to accept Islam and also has changed her name now. Her name is now Hafzah. She wants to know that is there any reason about this biblical belief that ''Jesus was the son of God''. Is it based on the Bible or it is propaganda? I have some information about this idea but I want some historical proofs that this idea was infused by people or by Saint Paul.

Jesus (pbuh), God?

One of my friends claims that Jesus never says the exact words “I am God” in the bible but He does proclaim that He is God. John 10:30, John 8:58, John 1:1, John 1:14

“Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.” Who bought the church—the church of God—with His own blood? Jesus Christ. Acts 20:28 declares that God purchased His church with His own blood. Therefore, Jesus is God.

Thomas the disciple declared “My Lord and my God” to Jesus and Jesus does not correct him John 20:28

Titus 2:13, tells us to wait for the coming of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ also in Peter 1:1.

Hebrews 1:8, The Father refers to Jesus as “O God” indicating that Jesus is God.

In the Bible people worshipped Jesus and Jesus never told them it was wrong.

Ka’bah And Islaelite Prophets

If Ibrahim and Ismail (sws) built the Ka'aba as a center of pilgrimage for all mankind, why did the other sons of Ibrahim and their grandsons and other Prophets mentioned in the Bible never made it a point to visit Ka'aba. We don't find any evidence at all in the Bible or the New Testament of anybody going to Mecca for pilgrimage. On the contrary, Jerusalem seems to have been the center for Prophets of old including Jesus. We do find a hint in the Qur'an below, but is there one in the Bible? Hajj has been a practice that has been followed by successive generations of Prophet Abraham (pbuh). It was even known to the father in-law of Prophet Moses (pbuh) before Prophet Moses (pbuh) received his Prophethood from God. In the following verse, we note the use of Hajj as a marker to signify a contractual period. 028.027 "He said: "Indeed I intend to marry you to one of these two daughters of mine on condition that you hire thyself to me for (the term of) eight pilgrimages (Arabic: Thamaniya Hijajin). Then if you complete ten, it will be of your own accord, and I would not wish to make it difficult for you. God willing, you will find me of the righteous". Just wondering what I am missing here?
