Importance Of Debt Repayment

It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Qatada that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) stood up among them (his Companions) to deliver his sermon in which he told them that Jihad in the way of Allah and belief in Allah (with all His Attributes) are the most meritorious of acts. A man stood up and said: Messenger of Allah, do you think that if I am killed in the way of Allah, my sins will be blotted out from me? The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Yes, in case you are killed in the way of Allah and you were patient and sincere and you always fought facing the enemy, never turning your back upon him. Then he added: What have you said (now)? (Wishing to have further assurance from him for his satisfaction), he asked (again): Do you think if I am killed in the way of Allah, all my sins will be obliterated from me? The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Yes, it you were patient and sincere and always fought facing the enemy and never turning your back upon him, (all your lapses would be forgiven) except debt. Gabriel has told me this.

Does this mean when a martyr dies he wont enter paradise because of a debt or that he wont enter paradise before judgment day then he would pay back the only thing one has on that day ones good deeds? Does this imply for every pious Muslim that dies living a debt for some reason?

Life In Hell And Paradise

I am reading the English translation of the Quran by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. My copy also contains his notes on the passages. He writes under Q 10:45 that we will recognize each other on Judgment Day so we know that justice is served and that Allah served righteousness to those according to their deeds on earth.

When Judgment is passed and we (InshaAllah) are granted eternity in Jannah, will our memories of those doomed for the fire remain with us? Seems a hard thing to consume knowing that some on earth that were not evil but just not believers and we were friends with are in eternal agony. Could you explain in your best opinion of this?

Purpose Of Human Life

I am a student of physics at the University of Vienna. As you know that in the West there is a misunderstanding about the Islamic teachings and practices, which puts a common Muslim in conflict with his religion. Therefore my question to you is: why we are meant to go to Paradise or Hell after the death. Is the existence of Paradise and Hell only a projection and excuse of the human mind to make this world seem less important? For instance we are promised to get 70 Virgins and alcohol in Paradise and in this world we have to stay away from prohibited sexual relations and alcohol. Is it not a kind of double standard? Why does someone for example an atheist, a man who does not believe in God or at least in a personal god must go to Hell? Does my life only means only to go to Hell or Paradise after death? What do you think of Karl Marx who said “Religion is only an opium of the people". I would be very pleased and thankful to you for your guidance.

Last Judgment And Merciful God

No human being asked Allah for Paradise (Jannah). Allah forcefully put them in a severe test. Is it right to punish who fail the test? How can he be RAHMAN in this case? He is so angry with polythiesm (shirk) that He can put a soul in the extreme torture, how He can be Samad? Many ahadith in Bukhari say that Paradise (Jannah) and Hell (Jahannum) is written on Loh for every soul. A man may do bad deeds for life and at the end he will make toba and go to Jannah as per his naseeb and vice versa. What remains for the test then? And where is mercy (Rahma)?

When Did Satan Vow To Misguide Human Beings?

I read a passage in the Holy Qur’an recently which left me in confusion. When Satan disobeyed God, he was cast out of heaven. At that time, he says that he would misguide men on earth till the day of eternity. The way I understand it, Adam had not yet disobeyed God and man was still a part of heaven. How could Satan say that he would misguide men on earth when God has not yet sent Adam to Earth? Please help me in understanding this chronology.

Being with one’s family members in Paradise

I viewed a Q & A session of you in which you were asked if we would be with our same family (Parents, Wife etc) in life after in jannat. You replied that we would wake up with the same mentality/ character as this life and be with the same loved ones. In fact, If one of our relatives (Parents) are at a higher level in Janat, They will call us there too or if we are at a higher level of janat, We will call them there too. So apparently we can grow there. Weather we can or we can not grow, My question is that where did you get this understanding from that we can call our loved ones up the level and what reference of Quran you can quote for the defense.
