Critique of Monotheistic Religions in the Qur'an

Question:

Does Islam provide any critique or appraisal of Monotheistic religions - or in other words - of itself? Is it self-conscious, self-critical and self-correcting by its very nature? I want to know if Islam has the ability to evolve from within - as the world moves forward and realities change.

Answer:

The Quran has asked believers to be true seekers of the truth and this is the most self-correcting mechanism which one can perhaps come across. They have to accede to truth wherever and from whomsoever they find it.
